Tris has created, facilitated and delivered sales, management and leadership training for more than 100 corporations and is the author of several training guides and manuals. His passion is developing “head-of-the-class” talent, and his training and development consulting services can help companies achieve their own successful results.
In many businesses it can take as much as 6 to 12 months for new employees to begin to function at peak capacity. To shorten the ramp-up time for new employees, Tris developed innovative programs such as “FAST START” and “JUMP START”.
After serving as a regional marketing director for Western Union, N.A., Tris Coffin was invited to assume the professional development responsibility for financial services employees in the flagship business unit of Colorado’s largest employer. He created a company-wide initiative titled “Beacons and Scholars” to speed up the assimilation of new employees into the business…enabling Western Union, N.A. to achieve multiple double-digit growth for five consecutive years.
Subsequently, Tris helped launch the Western Union Training Council as founder and Dean of Western Union University. In that role he was responsible for the training and development of the entire management team including the CEO and over 50,000 managers, individual contributors and agents.
